Scruples Color Art is a revolutionary new deposit-only hair color gloss formulated without ammonia or without any offensive odor. It contains only 8 pure base mixing color gels and a clear base that will produce over 30 deep, rich hair colors from brilliant reds to sultry browns.
Color Art is a no-lift, deposit-only hair color which can either enhance or change the tonal value of the hair at the same level as the clients natural level, or produce a color at a level lighter than their natural level.
The number of each color indicates the color level. The letter following the number indicates the color base.

000 - clear - clear base.
1BB - black - blue black base.
2G - dark golden brown - gold base.
3BV - cool brown - blue violet base.
3P - deep purple - purple base.
4G - light golden brown - gold base.
6RB - cool red - red blue base.
6RG - warm red - red gold base.
8BG - ash blonde - blue green base.
8G - golden blonde - gold base.
12V - cool blonde - violet base.

Determine the Clients Natural Hair Color using Scruples Color Reference Wheel, and determine the percentage of gray in the hair. If the client’s hair is less than 50% gray, refer to the standard formulation chart when selecting the client’s desired hair color formula. If the client’s hair is 50% or more gray, refer to the gray coverage formulation chart.

Consult with the client by showing them Scruples Color Art Swatch Book. Allow the client to select the desired hair color from the book. Remember, Color Art is a no-lift, deposit-only hair color which can either enhance or change the tonal value of the hair at the same level as the client’s natural level, or darker than the client’s natural level. 
Note: If the client selects a color at a level lighter than their natural level, a permanent color such as Scruples High Definition Color Gel is recommended where the hair can be lightened while the color is being deposited. 
Always mix equal parts Color Art Conditioning Color Gloss and Color Art Processing Solution to create a rich color mixture. 
If 000 Clear Base has been added to an existing hair color formula, be sure to increase the amount of Processing Solution so that there is always an equal amount of Color Gloss and Processing Solution. 
If a thicker consistency is desired, add a small amount of Scruples Color Whip Hair Color Thickener to any formula. 
Scruples Color Art Conditioning Color Gloss should always be applied to dry hair. 
Virgin Application: Divide hair into 4 sections and apply the color mixture from scalp to ends. 
If hair is excessively porous or has damaged ends, test strand to determine processing time.
